Grzegorz Więcław, MSc.

President

Grzegorz WiÄ™cÅ‚aw, MSc, SASP-FEPSAC. Grzegorz graduated from the EMSEP program at University of Jyväskylä. Since 2013 he has worked full-time as a self-employed applied sport psychologist, primarily in his home country, Poland. Currently, he serves clients including Polish national wheelchair rugby team, football and handball academies as well as a range of individual athletes representing different sports. In search of finding best avenues to turn theory into practice, he also lectures at various universities, publishes and translates sport psychology related material. He has been involved with ENYSSP since 2011 and served one term as an applied department representative (2015 – 2019).

Snezana Stoljarova, MSc.

Secretary General

Snezana has a Master’s Degree in Social Psychology (2010) from Tallinn University, Estonia; and a Master’s Degree of the European Masters in Sport and Exercise Psychology (2013) from Lund University, Sweden. Snezana has 19 years of athletic history in rhythmic and aesthetic group gymnastics. Currently Snezana is back in allinn, doing applied sport psychology consulting and leading sport psychology workshops for athletes, coaches and parents. Being interested in life skills development, Snezana is also involved with a sport-based social program for youth at risk. She is also reading sport & social psychology courses in Tallinn University.

Svenja Wachsmuth, PhD

Treasurer

Svenja is currently a postdoctoral researcher at Eberhard Karls University in Tübingen, Germany. Continuing on from her PhD at Loughborough University (UK) in which she explored elite sport participants' experiences of interpersonal conflict, her research nowadays evolves around interpersonal aspects of sports coaching as well as around psychosocial factors in talent development more generally. Svenja has also gained applied sport psychology experience working in a variety of sports (e.g., para table tennis, triathlon, volleyball, coach education). She has been a member of ENYSSP since 2012 and was elected treasurer in 2015. She also quite likes to tri.

Bernadette Ramaker, MSc.

Applied Department

Bernadette has completed the European Master in Sport and Exercise Psychology program (EMSEP) and earned two degrees, European Master in Sport and Exercise Psychology from University of Thessaly (Greece) and Master of Science in Diagnostics and Intervention from University of Leipzig (Germany). She is currently enrolled in the Postgraduate Studies for Applied Sport Psychology, which on completion will grant her accreditation to the Dutch Sport Psychology Association (VSPN). Since 2016, Bernadette has been working as an applied sport psychologist and running her own sport psychology business. She is consulting individual athletes and gives workshops regularly to groups of athletes, teams, parents and others involved in a variety of sports.

Ismael Pedraza, MSc.

Applied Department

Ismael is currently a PhD student at the German Sport University Cologne, Germany, focusing on the cognitive processes of esports players and the introduction of esports to the research field of sport psychology. He graduated from the European Masters in Sports and Exercise Psychology  (EMSEP) from the University of Jyväskylä, Finland and Leipzig, Germany. Ismael, although having experience as a coach and sports psychology consultant for traditional sports like football, swimming and athletics, he has taken his applied knowledge in sports psychology to another industry of performance (esports - electronic sports) since 2017. Thus, currently, he is working as the performance coach of a  professional team of League of Legends (Rogue) in Berlin. Additionally, he is a co-founder of a consultant agency (The Mental Craft) that offers performance services to esport teams and players.

Fabrizio Sors, PhD

Research Department

Fabrizio is a postdoctoral researcher in General Psychology at the Department of Medicine, Surgery and Health Sciences of the University of Trieste, Italy. Moreover, he is also an adjunct professor for the Sport Sciences Master Course at the University of Udine. Fabrizio completed both his MSc in Psychology and his PhD in Neural and Cognitive Sciences at the University of Trieste, discussing theses on experimental sport psychology. The main focus of his research is on the role of visual and auditory information in the perception and execution of complex movements; he already has 15 articles indexed in Scopus. He actively participated at more than 15 international conferences (4 as an invited speaker), organizing 5 of them and obtaining 4 awards during them. Finally, since 2014 he is a volunteer assistant coach in a local soccer club, mainly for teams of kids from 5 to 10 years old.

Mauro Murgia, PhD

Research Department

Mauro Murgia, Ph.D. in Neuroscience and Cognitive Sciences, is a postdoctoral research fellow and adjunct professor at the University of Trieste, Italy. His main research interests concern the perceptual-motor processes in complex movements. In particular he has focused on how visual and auditory cues affect the biological motion perception and the movement execution. He has conducted his studies in several universities and research institutes in Italy, Spain, Germany and the United States. He has authored over 30 peer-reviewed research articles, and is member of the editorial board of various international scientific journals.

Zsanett Bondar, MSc.

Education Department

Zsanett has a Bachelor’s (2013) and Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology, Counseling and Psychotherapy (2015) from the University of Oradea, Romania. After completing the intensive course in the EMSEP program (2017) she became an intern at “G. D’Annunzio” University of Chieti-Pescara (Italy). Now she works there as a research assistant in the field of Exercise Psychology focusing on populations with special needs. Currently, Zsanett is also a psychotherapist and counselor under supervision in Romania. Her main research interests include the implications of mindfulness-based interventions, well-being and the underpinning psychophysiological mechanisms.

Dennis Redlich, MSc.

Education Department

Dennis is affiliated with the German Sport University Cologne as a research associate, Master program coordinator and PhD student. He gained a M.Sc. in Sport and Exercise Psychology from the University of Thessaly and a M.Sc. Sport Diagnostics and Intervention from Leipzig University. Dennis gained some practical experiences in several sports but his heart beats for research; especially sleep and sport, attention and consciousness, as well as any topic related to handball. He also holds coaching licenses in handball and cycling, however in his free time you´ll find him snowboarding or on the beach-handball-courts throughout Europe.

Peter Schneider, MSc.

Past President

Peter is currently the sport psychology consultant for the youth academy of FC Augsburg e.V. He has extensive experience in professional soccer, both at the youth and professional level, consulting players and coaches for the past five years.  Starting with a B.A. in biology and psychology in his home state of Michigan (USA) from Kalamazoo College, he moved to Europe in 2007 and achieved a M.Sc. in both sport psychology and sport diagnostics and intervention from the University of Jyväskylä and Leipzig University, respectively.  He continued his education, aiming at completing his PhD in sport psychology from Leipzig University in 2019 with a focus on talent development environments and group processes.
